On a future Earth riven by a bitter religious war between atheists and the sect called the Mithraic, scientists launched a ship containing six infants-and the caretaker androids "Mother" (Amanda Collin) and "Father" (Abubakar Salim)-to the planet Kepler-22B in the hopes of creating a secular Eden. With only one eventual survivor, Mother opts for the abduction of Mithraic children to start over, and their saga is followed in this challenging HBO Max fantasy.
